As we begin to look to the new year, "Who have you given the brushes of your picture to? Who have you allowed to paint your life picture?"
This journey is only one-way there are know U-turn's. The life we live should be one that we've painted. Are you painting your picture? If not it's time to get the brushes to your canvas back and continue creating your master piece.
I remember wanting to go back and finish getting my undergrad degree. I was married with three children the youngest was just 4 months old. It meant moving to another state and my husband was reluctant. We were invited to spend a weekend to visit the the college while my older children went to summer camp. Upon our return my mother could see the excitement and knew how much this meant to me. I'll never forget one Sunday afternoon she called me into her bedroom and said to me, "You do not want to get to the end of your life with should of, would of, could of. If there is something you want to do, do it. Don't let anything stop you." My mom had know idea how she really became the wind beneath my wings that day. To this day I pass that on for when we come to the end of this journey and you can't, you'll be able to sit and smile knowing I painted my canvas the way I wanted.
Who has your brushes, start taking them back.
